Liberty University Track and Field sprinter, Ellie Bevan, is our featured student-athlete. Ellie is a senior, majoring in Accounting, and she has been an active 2nd & 7 athlete volunteer for two years.
Ellie is a positive role model to young readers and athletes in the Lynchburg community. She enjoys reading to the 2nd grade students of Lynchburg City Schools each week. Her favorite aspect of 2nd & 7 is that students have the opportunity to keep the book after she reads and discusses it with them, allowing them to build their reading skills in and out of the classroom. In addition to being an active participant in 2nd & 7 outreach, Ellie serves on the Liberty Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, working with representatives from each Liberty University team to enhance student-athletes' experiences at Liberty. The SAAC members also assist many local charities and Lynchburg community programs.
Ellie's other interests include traveling, being a good older sister and actively partcipating in the Children's ministry at her church. Ellie also tutors high school students remotely from her home town.
