Leah Sax is a women's lacrosse student-athlete at Ohio State University. As a senior
studying health sciences, Leah also serves as a 2nd & 7 coordinator for her team at
OSU. After hearing about 2nd & 7 from volunteers and teammates, she had the urge to get
involved to help kids and support their love of reading.
Leah describes working with 2nd & 7 as joyous and fun, bringing pride to her, her
teammates, and OSU. Being a positive leader, giving your time, and making a
connection has been the most important aspect of her volunteer experience.
Being a Buckeye has given Leah pride when seeing how excited kids get while
interacting with them. Watching kids show passion and joy when reading has given
Leah a sense of gratitude that couldn't have been found without 2nd & 7. Leah's favorite
memories are from after the book reading portion of a visit, when she can spend time with the kids and get to know them.
With all the positivity Leah brings to 2nd & 7 and the kids we read to, we are proud to
have someone so ambitious working with us!
